Mid-Century Modern Umbrella “Petals” for 2021 Collection

Artist Garrison Wayne lives and works in his studio in beautiful La Quinta, California. La Quinta is about 25 miles from historic Palm Springs. Palm Springs is the foremost City to embrace and preserve Mid-Century Modern Architecture and Design. The City hosts a Modernism Week each year with great enthusiasm and attracts an enormous amount of people who attend.

Garrison has designed a new, cool palette, hand painted umbrella named “Petals”. It is comprised of graduated circles arranged in a concentric pattern with variation of color. The bold simplicity depicts a retro modern time that dates back to the mid 20th Century. It is named “Petals”, as it is an artist interpretation of the petals on a flower, such as a Zinnia. Garrison, having lived in Palm Springs in the 1980’s, is quite familiar with the types of architecture that is prevalent there. He believes that his new design “Petals” will be just the perfect addition to the Mid- Century Home.
